Mary Bates began her career as an Employee Benefits Manager for the State of Virginia. Shortly after, she was hired as a legal assistant and specialized in estate planning, real estate and bankruptcy (for both creditor and individual clients.) This led her to an even finer focus on bankruptcy loan services for mortgages in the state of Virginia.
In her position at SunTrust Mortgage, she served as the Team Lead for Bankruptcy as well as a Home Preservation Specialist. Mrs. Bate’s experience with mortgages eventually led her to a 12-year career as a licensed title, escrow, and settlement agent (closer).
Fun fact: in 2014-2017, Mrs. Bates worked in radio as a Traffic Director for WSBH 98.5 The Beach!
